How many years have you been cosplaying?

Almost nine years.

How were you introduced to cosplay?

Through anime and manga. I was just getting into manga when I watched ‘Troldspejlet’ one day and they talked about J-Popcon. I decided I wanted to go and try do cosplay as well.

What is your greatest achievement as a cosplayer?

Probably getting the ‘Brother Award’ for best costumes at the World Cosplay Summit 2014. It was a big moment for me.

In your opinion, what is the greatest thing about cosplay?

Talking about craftsmanship with cosplayers! Sharing techniques and discussing materials is so much fun! That and of course the process of making the cosplay and performances as well. I love the process of creation itself.

Which of your costumes is your favourite?

My Christine Daae, Elissa version (from Phantom of the Opera, the 25th anniversary musical).

Do you have a dream costume?

Several! Hopefully I’ll have time to make some of them soon!

What is your favourite convention memory?

Going to Japan Expo for the first time! The size of the convention was so impressive and it was super interesting! It’s still my favourite convention.

What are you looking forward to when coming to Genki?

I look forward to holding my panel of course, but most of all I can’t wait to see the cosplay show! It’s my favourite part of going to conventions!

Any final words to our guests?

I can’t wait to see you all! Please come say hi if you see me!
